We have arrived at MEA week here at school. There is no school this Thursday 10/17 or Friday 10/18. There will be no homework over MEA break other than continuing to A.R. read each day.
Today we were visited by the Albany Fire Department. Last week was Fire Prevention week and they took time to talk fire safety with the classes. Of course, everyones favorite part was getting to go in the fire engine.
We will be taking a test in Math tomorrow (Tuesday). The test is on estimating (rounding), the properties of addition and subtraction, and adding and subtracting including decimals. We took our entire Math period today to review so there is no review sheet coming home.
In Reading we are working on comparing and contrasting using graphic organizers such as a Venn diagram. If you are unsure of what a Venn diagram is, I encourage you to have your child show you!
Also, on Wednesday we will be saying goodbye to our student teacher Ms. Thea. She has been with us since the beginning of the year and will be moving on to her next experience in Melrose. The class has really taken a liking to her, so we will be sad to see her go. We wish her the best!
